Individual Psychotherapy

Who is it for?

This support is designed for individuals experiencing significant emotional distress, with or without a formal diagnosis, as well as those seeking deeper self-understanding and a life of greater clarity and balance. The goal is to understand emotional functioning, develop regulation skills, and foster sustainable change over time.

How it works

Individual psychotherapy is a continuous, structured and
confidential process, conducted through regular sessions.

The sessions can take place:

  • in person, in Porto, or
  • online, in a secure and effective format.

Session frequency is determined together (usually weekly or every two weeks) and integrates clinical listening, structured reflection, and progressive emotional work.

Areas of focus

• anxiety disorders • depression • post-traumatic stress • eating disorders • borderline personality disorder • burnout • emotional regulation difficulties • repetitive patterns and self-sabotage • relationship difficulties • insecurity and low self-esteem • decision-making • transitional phases

Mental Health Gyms

Who is it for?

The gyms are designed for people seeking emotional support, personal development and greater inner clarity, benefiting from guided sharing in a safe and structured environment.

There are currently four different gyms, each designed for specific experiences and needs.

Personal Development

  • For those who feel they are merely surviving each day and want to return to living with greater presence and clarity.

Gambling Addiction

  • For those who feel that gambling has taken up too much space in their lives and want to regain control, awareness, and balance.

Informal Caregivers

  • For those who care for others and feel that they have lost themselves in the process.

Emotional Caregivers

  • For those who live daily with people with psychological disorders and feel that they need to regain space, balance, and care for themselves.

How it works

These groups serve as a space for sharing, reflection, and development, always within a clinical framework, operating on a regular, structured, and confidential basis.

  • Each group has between 4 and 10 participants.
  • The sessions take place online.
  • Each session lasts 90 minutes.
  • They are held every two weeks.

Before joining the group, a free preliminary interview is conducted to assess the suitability of the person’s motivations, expectations and profile for the specific group. This ensures the safety, consistency and quality of the work carried out.

Areas of focus

• emotional wellbeing • emotional management • communication and relationships • boundaries and self-care • awareness of patterns • inner strength • sense of belonging and validation • development of greater clarity and presence

Psychotherapy is recommended whenever there is emotional distress, feelings of being stuck, repetitive patterns, difficulty dealing with emotions, or a desire for greater clarity and inner balance. It is not necessary to be in crisis to begin the process; many people seek counselling to get to know themselves better and grow in a conscious way.

Profound changes take time. Although initial relief often comes in the first few weeks, getting to the root of the problem requires a gradual and safe process. Each person has their own pace; the essential thing is consistency and commitment to the goals we set together.
